Thuringowa has a large number of places to stay ,from caming grounds to Resorts it's all here and i hope that this infomation is heplful.

Camping Grounds are as follows

Balgal Beach

Balgal Beach is a free vehicle and tent camping area for the public,however the city council has limited the car park area to a maximum stay of 2 days.  Pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times unless otherwise signed.

Big Crystal Creek 

Big Crystal Creek is at the bottom of the Paluma Range, the area is a popular  amoung locals and visitors due to the large freshwater swimming lagoon. Camping fees apply, and you need to book a camping site in advance, Toilets, picnic tables and barbeques are available free.              

Bluewater Park

Bluewater Park is located just off the Highway at Bluewater and has 20 vehicle camping sites on offer and it is free, there is also a tent camping area  available, however there is a maximum stay of 1 day, again pets are allowed,but must be kept on a leash.

Lake Paluma 

Lake Paluma is in the World Heritage Listed Wet Tropic Rainforest, and the lake is available for swimming and non-motorised  sports. Toilets, barbecues, picnic tables and a boat ramp are available. Camping fees do apply here, and you need to book a camping site in advance.

Rollingstone

Rollingstone Park is a free camping area  and has 30 un-powered sites available, Pets are allowed but need to be kept on a leash.

There is a maximum stay of 2 days.

Saunders Beach

Saunders Beach is a free camping area with a maximum stay of 2 days, Pets are welcom, but must be on a leash.

Toomulla Beach

Toomulla Beach is one of Thuringowa most The secluded beashes, and has free camping available and has a maximum stay of 2 days, plus pets are allowed as long as you keep tham on a leash.
